FC1 - Engineering Design, Development, Implementation and Integration
- Operate and deliver in an overseas environment, function in a coalition command structure, and work to integrate coalition partner nations into the GWOT (Global War on Terrorism) structure through technical architectures and telecommunications/data services
- Design, install and implement networks for the entire US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility (AOR).
- Responsible for the engineering design and implementation of the USSOUTHCOM thin client solution.
- Analyze and troubleshoot all CENTRIXS computer system, network system, and LAN/WAN communication operations for the CENTRIXS Program Management Office, combatant command headquarters, and regional centers in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Afghanistan, and United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM).
- Thoroughly test integrated computer code, local area networking, telecommunications, information security, information management, and/or other IT solutions to ensure they operate properly within their implementation environments and provide full interoperability with all other designated US Government, NATO and other allied systems.
- Integrate developed computer applications and services, local area networking, telecommunications, information security, information management, and/or other IT solutions into the existing LOCE architecture and/or new architectures based on the LOCE model.
- Our staff documents and performs requirements analysis, systems engineering, and development activities and associated requirements on JDISS.
- On-site engineers at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, Maryland to perform software engineering, integration, maintenance and enhancement of the existing and evolving JDISS software baseline.
- The ISS field engineers for the MIRES program were responsible for installing new systems, training users in the use of the system and providing worldwide support to system users.
- ISS has a thorough understanding of and ability to implement systems compliant with DODIIS and EUCOM, PACOM, SOUTHCOM, CENTCOM and NATO specific Information Technology Management (ITM) practices.
FC2 - Operations and Maintenance
- Support the turnover of integrated computer code, local area networking, telecommunications, information security, information management, and/or other IT solutions to Operations and Maintenance personnel, to include such activities as installation assistance, initial operation, and technical training for LOCE.
- Developed training plans to include online training and course development material for new and enhanced software for the LOCE users.
- Perform O&M functions for networks installed throughout the USSOUTHCOM (AOR).
- Perform Oracle database O&M support for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Operate the Network Access Point of the Americas facility for USSOUTHCOM to include helpdesk operation and downrange support.
- Perform helpdesk support functions for the FAA centers around the U.S. from a central location in Washington DC.
- Develop and deliver network operating procedures and maintain statistics on the performance of those networks.
FC3 - Independent Test, Evaluation, Validation and Verification
- Conduct V&V testing and security testing on all networks installed for USSOUTHCOM.
- Engineers initiate and support IV&V and security testing as part of the overall quality assurance effort prior to fielding the JDISS integrated or enhanced system.
FC4 - Software Development
- On-site engineers at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, Maryland to perform software engineering, integration, maintenance and enhancement of the existing and evolving JDISS software baseline.
- ISS integrates enhancements into the existing JDISS model in a test-bed environment as part of the overall testing performance modeling process.
- Provide the SharePoint subject matter expert who is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining several USSOUTHCOM web sites.
- Provide senior Oracle database engineers to develop and maintain databases for the FAA.
FC5 - Management Support Services
- Performed cost benefit analysis, risk analysis, risk mitigation, and customer interviews to further define CENTRIXS requirements
- Interact with US and allied/coalition end-users to assist in the articulation and formal documentation of functional requirements
- Training services including operating training facilities, providing initial operations training, providing detailed technical training, and developing web-based training programs
- Provide program managers for several major tasks and maintain and report on task progress, to include finance status, using Microsoft Project and other software tools.
- Conduct and/or participate in formal Government reviews of project status, configuration control boards and other quality assurance reviews.
