U.S. Navy - Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)
Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS III)
ISS is responsible for developing the project management schedule for the Software/Systems Integration development efforts and ensuring that the associated projects stay on schedule and within cost. To accomplish this ISS uses Microsoft Project, the JDISS ISO 9001 certified processes and fully integrate this level of the project into the Master schedule to form the overall timeline for the JDISS Joint Program Office (JPO). ISS provides project managers, who travel to the major Combatant Commands to identify operational requirements, perform site surveys and identify all installation and operational support required to complete the project. Our staff documents and performs requirements analysis, systems engineering, and development activities and associated requirements.
ISS provides on-site engineers at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, Maryland to perform software engineering, integration, maintenance and enhancement of the existing and evolving JDISS software baseline. ISS integrates enhancements into the existing JDISS model in a test-bed environment as part of the overall testing performance modeling process. Engineers initiate and support IV&V and security testing as part of the overall quality assurance effort prior to fielding the integrated or enhanced system. The scope of the integration task includes all computer code, local area networking, telecommunications, information security, information management and IT related products applicable to the baseline model. ISS provides international site installation support for JDISS hardware and software products and has provided on site support to our forces in support of OEF and OIF.
