Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS)
Information Systems Solutions, Inc. (ISS) supports the CENTRIXS networks at the Network Operations Centers (NOCs) in Bahrain, Hawaii, Florida, Maryland and other locations as required to ensure the connectivity and successful transmission of data at all times. Using HP OpenView and WhatsUp Gold, our engineers assess and test the various network components prevent or resolve outages. Our engineers proactively change routing to provide seamless connectivity to the end users without impacting ongoing operations. Firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS) are used to ensure the security of the network. By working with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and running the Security Readiness Review, the engineers test the security of the network and apply security templates and patches to eliminate vulnerabilities.
Information Systems Solutions, Inc. has performed cost benefit analysis, risk analysis, risk mitigation, and customer interviews to further define CENTRIXS requirements. Owing to military operations in Afghanistan, the Middle East, South America, and the Pacific Region, the CENTRIXS contract has required ISS to operate and deliver in an overseas environment, function in a coalition command structure, and work to integrate coalition partner nations into the GWOT structure through technical architectures and telecommunications/data services. ISS has gained unique and valuable insight into the intricacies of designing and operating US National and coalition command center systems. The ISS network design provides services to local and remote users on the network. The design maintains a minimal number of Windows 2000/2003 forests while providing the highest degree of flexibility and interoperability for the system services. ISS provides global operations and maintenance support by analyzing and troubleshooting CENTRIXS computer system, network system, and LAN/WAN communication operations for the CENTRIXS Program Management Office, combatant command headquarters, and regional centers in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Afghanistan, and United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM).
